Nice summary. Glad to hear you found some new games that interest you. I’m still looking at the new crop, but haven’t made any decisions at this point.

I also thought the live video from Essen was neat, and I’ve enjoyed Melissa’s and Fraser’s daily updates from there.

A baby step, indeed, but at least an introduction to traditional wargaming. I enjoyed wargaming for many years, but just don’t have the patience for it anymore. I liked learning something about history and military tactics from wargames, but I now prefer the interesting mechanics available in Eurogames.
